The Gems Keep Giving ‘Display of Generosity’ Pin is a remarkable piece of jewelry, born from the partnership between two esteemed Italian names: Petramundi, led by Rocco Gay and globally renowned for its expertise in gemstone cutting, and Margherita Burgener, celebrated for its high-end jewelry collections and unique creations.
Crafted in Valenza, the historic heart of both companies, this collaboration has produced ten exclusive pins designed to raise funds for Gems Keep Giving, supporting initiatives that ensure a brighter future for small-scale mining communities worldwide.
The pin’s design, inspired by the heart-shaped symbol of the foundation, was created by Emanuela Burgener. Made of titanium, it embodies her profound connection to nature and her visionary creativity. Titanium’s lightweight and innovative properties allowed for exceptional artistic expression, resulting in a contemporary piece of remarkable elegance and freedom.
At the center of the design is a heart-shaped gemstone, from which a sprout with five branches extends—symbolizing the five continents, global unity, life, and a future rooted in respect for nature. Each pin features a gemstone of distinct color and origin, honoring the diversity of gem-producing countries.
This unique connection between each gemstone and its place of origin makes every pin one-of-a-kind—just as the foundation’s impact on mining communities aims to be both singular and transformative.
The ‘Display of Generosity’ Pins will be showcased during the Tucson GemFair at the AGTA GemFair, Somewhere in the Rainbow, booth #1950.
These exclusive pins will be awarded to the top 10 donors to Gems Keep Giving during the first quarter of 2025, in a Thank You Ceremony held at the ICA Congress in Brazil, May 2025.
